The 2 tracks on this record have been constructed from flotsam, jetsam & driftwood gathered in the Lofoten Islands by Steven Stapleton & Colin Potter in 2004 & reassembled at IC Studio, London 2021. The single is a prelude to the vinyl release of ‘Shipwreck Radio Volume 1/Lofoten Deadhead’, but getting vinyl manufactured is difficult & slow (the single itself was many months late), so we're not sure when the boxset will be available. On Thursday 3rd March at 12.00 UK time an art edition 12’’ lathe cut LP will be on sale simultaneously from the ICR, Nurse With Wound & Andrew Liles websites!
In an edition of 100 copies this release features 2 extra Opium Cabaret tracks, ‘Pigment Drift’ `and ‘Zonked’. The transparent vinyl is presented in a hand-assembled sleeve, each with a different Babs Santini front cover which is numbered & signed by Messrs Stapleton, Liles & Potter on the reverse.
